How to live for a thousand years...

Born and raised in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta region, visual artist Christopher T. Anway is based in the Delta neighborhood of Antioch. Specializing in portraiture and photo-realism, Chris has spent many years doing graphics for surf and skate companies such as Alternative Bamboo Technologies and Legend Skateboards. Chris has tattooed for over ten years and has traveled the world applying art to both flesh and canvas. Many of his canvas pieces are employed to help Bay Area fundraisers such as the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and STAND! Against Domestic Violence. As a longtime resident of Antioch, he has been commissioned to do many murals and graphics for local businesses and institutions throughout the Delta region. Chris Anway has been a hailed tattoo artist by the Red and White Association of California, winning multiple tattoo awards, including two-time Best Black and Grey Tattoo. With a growing body of work now featured in galleries throughout Thailand, the Philippines, and the San Francisco Bay Area, Chris is also credited in designing cover art for various independent bands and is a strong supporter of local, community-based arts and culture. As an avid water enthusiast, Chris has been witnessing first-hand the continued deterioration and depletion of the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta and the increasing waves of violence among Bay Area youths. He hopes to continue raising public awareness around these issues, and more through his art.
